There’s this idea that sometimes to express yourself through your art, you have to stop thinking about what it is exactly you’re trying to convey and just let your muscles take over.  Put the pencil down, draw a line, and keep drawing, stopping not once to think.  Not even to think about thinking.  If you find yourself wondering what shapes the lines are making, consciously stop yourself thinking and just keep on drawing.
Somehow… I ended up with this.

That’s a really good exercise. Especially when you have art block or are feeling like your art isn’t good enough.
